Seek the Lord while He may be found

Isaiah 55:6

Millions of people have questions about who God is and what is his character like. Many, unfortunately, go to church each Sunday and leave still not knowing, but wondering. The reason for this is that they have not searched for God and are not reading the Word daily – the scriptures. Had they been doing this everyday they would have found these answers.

Having a relationship with Jesus and not reading scripture is like enjoying icy cold weather without a coat. The Word of God is Jesus and the Word is God’s character written over the Old and New Testament. Yes, it started with Genesis.

The good news is that you can know God because Jeremiah 29:13 promises, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” In order to do this you must take the scriptures very seriously. God does not just come to you, you must go to Him.

Today and everyday moving forward, seek the Lord with all your heart by first reading the scriptures, perhaps starting in one of the four gospels which give an account of the life and times of Jesus on earth. Next, pray, pray and pray for continual guidance and wisdom and for God’s providence in your life.
