Some of my favorite scriptures pt. 2

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” – Matt 6:33

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him” 1 John 5:14-15

The above verses are critical to understanding how gracious and merciful our Lord is to all who worship and follow him. When we seek God in all righteousness something beautiful happens. God responds to us by adding to our already numerous blessings.

Somethings we receive later than now and many of these blessings from God fill a void in our lives, perhaps we never knew we even wanted what God has given to us.

This is where prayer is so vital to our lives. In fact, daily fervent prayer is the most important activity you’ll ever do as a follower of Jesus. Prayer is the ultimate time saver and when our prayers follow in accordance with God’s plan for our lives, God gives us the answer to those prayers.

God’s timing is not ours nor our his thoughts or ways. We might receive our answer to prayer today, tomorrow or in the future, but you can rest assured knowing that God provides the answers to our prayer at the perfect moment.

Stay focused today and pray in intervals throughout the day. When you feel a need to pray, pray on the spot. Pray for friends, family, governments, leaders, sick people, missionaries and for the lost most importantly.

Avoid sin and pray for the Spirit of God to lead you each day. Thank God continually for his providence over you and your loved ones.

Jesus wants to hear from us always and is in our midst, in fact, he indwells all who call him Lord and Savior.
