Aimee Semple McPherson

The greatest female revivalist of the 20th Century was Aimee Semple McPherson who was Born October, 1890 and died on September, 1944

Aimee was the founder of the International Foursquare Gospel Church – 2 Million members in 30,000 Churches today. When she was 23 years old she had appendicitis and barely survived. After her ordeal she devoted her life to Jesus.

Aimee started out living in a Gospel car that had many scripture verses on it and sayings like, “where will you spend eternity?” She would hand out Bible tracts. This drew national attention during the early 1920’s.

Beginning in Los Angeles, Aimee drew crowds so large that major auditoriums could not hold the people. They all came to here her incredible preaching. She fed the poor, prayed for the sick and dying and traveled internationally spreading the Gospel.

Do you hear God calling you to preach the Gospel? You need not worry about what you will say, The Holy Spirit will speak through you. The truth is that we are all being called into God’s ministry and He has prepared us for good works already. God has given each of us talents, gifts and the ability to share the love of Jesus to a spiritually dying world.

Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
