Who is our Father? That depends on whether or not you’ve been born again of Spirit by the belief that Jesus is the Son of God who has forgiven us of our sin. Without being born again or experiencing Spiritual rebirth your Father is not God and you remain separated from Him.
Jesus said, I am the Way, The Truth and The Life; no man comes to My Father except through Me.When you become born again, you experience restoration to the brokenness that happened when Adam and Eve first sinned. Romans 5:12 “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned.”
Once you become born again you enter eternal life with Father God through “the bridge, Jesus”. That is the whole story behind the prodigal son. In reality, we all were prodigal sons and daughters before becoming born again because every human being that ever lived was born separated from God.
This is shown in Genesis when Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden of Eden. This demonstrates all humans being banished from Father God’s presence. Stay with me, in His unconditional love for us, God gave us Jesus! The first sign of God’s forgiveness to all humans was when He covered Adam and Eve with the skins of an unblemished animal.
This act was performed again when the blood on the door posts of the Hebrews prevented them from loosing their firstborn. Once again, Father God uses the blood of an unblemished lamb (referring to Jesus) to cover over the Hebrews.
Thankfully God never punishes us in the way we deserve: Psalm 103:10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Please read and meditate on the following verses of scripture: “Have we not all one Father? hath not one God created us?” (Mal. 2:10).”But now, O Lord, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou our Potter; and we all are the work of Thy hand”(Isa. 64:8).
“Don’t cling to Me,” Jesus told her, “for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to My brothers and tell them that I am ascending to My Father and your Father—to My God and your God.” (John 20:17)
Ephesians 1:17 – I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.
Psalm 103:13 – As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.
Get to know your true one and only Father: The one who created you through Jesus, the one in whom dwells within all who love Jesus, the one who treats you a million times better than the greatest earthly father you could ever have, the one who has forgiven you for all sin: past, present and future, the one who Jesus, while on earth, prayed to without ceasing, the one in whom is the sovereign ruler of the universe!
