“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man” (Jas. 1:13).
If you feel tempted:
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it”. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
Sound contradictory to the first verse?
God allows certain temptations to either sift us, teach us, punish us or guide us to benevolence. Think of Adam and Eve, Abraham, Job, Moses. We all have been there at some point in our walk with God.
Here’s the good news:
Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
RESIST, MOVE ON, TAKE A WALK, GET BUSY, STOP STARING, POSITIVE THOUGHTS, THINK ABOUT JESUS, READ THE BIBLE, TAKE A COLD SHOWER???
Ha! All these work, the best way to handle temptation is to trust Jesus, pray and read the Bible each day.
Keeping it 100%
