Paul: Humility before Honor

When do you rely on God? Apostle Paul was acquainted with perilous situations that almost put him in death’s grip. God had allowed Paul to experience great hardship during his missionary travels. He was ship wrecked, bitten by a poisonous snake, beat up by mobs of people and left for dead. Where was Jesus during all this?

Paul’s dire situation was met with deliverance. What he learned was that he could not rely on himself but on God who has the power to raise the dead. Stay low, God will lift you up in due time. Apostle Paul understood that humility goes before honor. His self-confidence came from knowing Jesus. God told Paul that my grace is sufficient for thee and my strength is made known in your weakness. When things hit rock bottom in life and all seems lost that is when one is most responsive to learning about the awesome power of God.

Here is what you need to do to receive all the riches, honor and glory that God has for you: Serve the living God, Jesus. Trust Him with all your heart, mind, body and soul. Live, breathe and solely rely on God through Jesus. Pray without ceasing, read the Bible each day and allow God to take over your life. Yes, dump all your worries, cares and issues on Jesus. That is what he meant when he said:”Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
