What was the first thing The King of Judah, Jehoshaphat, did when he received word that the Moabites and Ammonites were coming to make war over Judah?
Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast for all Judah. Next, he prayed allowed before the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the Temple of the Lord.
Then, Jahaziel, son of Zechariah said, “The Lord says: Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.”
God led Jehoshaphat and Judah to victory over an immense army because Jehoshaphat placed his faith and trust in God. Before entering battles he would always seek the counsel of the Lord.
Who do you go to when you face trials, adversity, hardship and tough times?
2 Chronicles 16:9
“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him”
Place your faith In Jesus because Jesus is our Lord and Savior, God who appeared to man in the flesh to instruct us on how to live our lives.
Everyone goes through trials. Christians are given trials by God to reveal, prepare or test our faith In Jesus. The outcome is always for our own good and makes us stronger.
There is no reason to wait until a trial comes. Begin fortifying yourself now by drawing near to Father God through Jesus. Get close to Jesus and he will prepare you for what lies ahead.
It’s all about Jesus!
