Going through adversity, for the believers In Christ, will only last as long as it takes for God to accomplish His purpose in us.
Everyone goes through unbearably difficult times whether that is facing an illness or needing financial help. How does Jesus fit into our suffering?
Jesus suffered on the cross, but it was to fulfill God’s purpose for His life, thankfully it saved us!
What is God’s purpose in our lives when we face hardships? Perhaps it is to transform us or prepare us for something down the road which will test us even further.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Tells us:
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal”
If and when you face adversity, trust that God will never allow you to be tempted in anything greater than you can handle. Ask yourself why God is allowing this to happen to you, but never question God’s wisdom, He knows what is best for us and we do not always see the outcome right away.
Be assured that God is in you alongside the Holy Spirit and Jesus – yes, they reside in all believer’s. Be patient in your struggle because we are all called to live the life of Jesus.
Ask the Lord for strength so you do not lose heart. Jesus once said that in the end the flesh accounted for nothing. Meaning that ultimately we will be renewed with an immortal and impenetrable glorified body that will withstand eternity. Everything lasts a certain period of time and then its over. Stay the course with faith, wisdom from above, close inspirational friends and family who share your faith and most of all read the bible and pray.
