The Seven Churches in Revelation

The seven stars of the Book of Revelation are the angels of the seven churches mentioned and the seven golden lampstands are the seven churches.

Jesus writes to each angel of each of the seven churches. He begins with the good news of the ongoings in the church and then segues to what needs correcting.

For example, to the Church in Ephesus, Jesus states that he is in agreement with their hatred towards the practices of the Nicolaitians. However, Jesus said that he holds against the church this:

“You have forsaken your first love” These churches represent our collective whole as followers of Christ. The church is God’s chosen people or The Body of Christ. It is not a building made by human hands. Of course you go to your local congregation to worship, hear the Word of God and to have fellowship.

If you want to eat from the tree of life in paradise, obey God’s command and renew your love for Jesus.

How many of us need to reignite the fire and passion for Jesus?
